Three ACPE students and two graduates are preparing to step onto the world stage at the Rio Olympics in August 2016.

The five athletes will represent Australia in basketball, equestrian, judo, swimming and taekwondo.

ACPE Dean and Head of College Dr Brian Nook said he was delighted to see past and present students competing at the Rio Olympics.

“It’s great to see such a large contingent of past and present students represent ACPE and is a testament to their dedicated approach to their training and shows how hard work pays off.”

“The athletes individual stories are inspiring, particularly those who are managing to balance their studies, whilst competing at a world level.”

“Recognised as an Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU), through the Australian Institute of Sport, allows ACPE to support our elite athletes, to achieve their very best both within their chosen sports and at their studies,” Dr Nook said.
