Protein snack ideas - nuts about protein? You'll love these cookies

Trust me, sometimes finding creative ways to sneak extra protein into your meals can be hard. Well if you’re sick of eating tuna or having super thick protein shakes, then try this delicious cookie recipe. Great as a pre-workout treat or when you hit the 3pm slump, this recipe will help you look and feel great – while supporting muscle development.

Oatmeal, banana, nut and protein cookies


* 2 overripe bananas
* 1 cup of oatmeal
* Pinch of sea salt
* 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
* Pinch of baking powder
* 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder


1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a cookie tray with baking paper or spray with coconut oil
2. Mash the bananas until creamy then add in the oatmeal, protein, cinnamon, salt and baking powder and mix well. NOTE: You could also add in slithered almonds, sultanas or peanut butter if you like
3. Place a spoonful of the mixture onto the baking paper and sprinkle with almonds or seed mix
4. Bake for 15 minutes. Take out when golden and let cool
