Six ACPE students got the opportunity of a lifetime last Tuesday when they attended the National Achievers Congress in Sydney, an event headlined by none other than ‘rebel billionaire’ and founder of Virgin Group, Richard Branson.

The event hosted a number of celebrated entrepreneurs, each of whom shared their secrets and success stories and covered topics ranging from business and wealth creation all the way through to psychology and health & fulfilment.

Branson was escorted on stage with an entourage of lovely stewardesses (naturally), and kept the crowd captivated with his charisma. Some of his top tips included:

  • Use your personality and personal brand as ‘free’ advertising for your business
  • Surround yourself with people who are equally as passionate & who really believe in your company/product
  • “Screw it, just do it!”

The students were able to attend the sold out Sydney event thanks to online platform Brightly and the ACPE student engagement team.

Brightly provides students with opportunities to attend these types of events and gain access to world-renowned industry professionals. The platform is currently in its early stages, but is on track to become a one-stop-shop for professional development for ACPE students and alumni alike to access influential networks, events and career building tools.

As an ACPE student, you’re automatically eligible to benefit from the Brightly platform – not just while you study, but beyond graduation as well. Keep your ears peeled for more inspirational events with Brightly!
